Linton Primary School

Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to Linton Primary School.Ā  I am extremely proud and privileged to be Headteacher here.

We are a very small school located in the village of Linton in Northumberland, which provides academic and pastoral provision for children from Nursery to Year 6.Ā  We have a spacious and secure building set in grounds with two large play areas, an enclosed Sensory Garden and a Forest School Camp. We also have access to playing fields and a play park directly outside the school gates. Our wide range of internal and external facilities, our resources, and our carefully planned curriculum enable us to ensure that the quality of teaching and learning has a significant impact on pupil outcomes.

BeingĀ ā€œIntentionally Inclusiveā€Ā is at the heart of everything we do, and we consistently strive for a balance between high expectations for childrenā€™s academic attainment, progress and potential, as well as their personal and social development. We recognise children as unique individuals with specific talents and needs and aim to provide a nurturing environment where every child can flourish.Ā  A high proportion of our children have additional needs, many having moved to our school due to its smaller size, bespoke approach and commitment to inclusivity. We are thankfully blessed with a dedicated staff team who strive to provide the very best for our children and their families.

We value greatly our place at the centre of the village of Linton. We work closely with our families and the community to further enhance the life of our school and its curriculum. We strive to establish and embed links with local businesses, organisations and get ourselves involved in community projects.

We are extremely proud of our children who always demonstrate a positive attitude to their work and play. They treat the people around them with respect, embodying the very essence of what life at Linton Primary School is all about. Everything we do in school is underpinned by our values: Perseverance, Resilience, Independence, Tolerance and Truthā€¦ Getting ā€˜PRITTā€™ to ā€˜stickā€™ is of the utmost importance.

Visits are encouraged and warmly welcomed: the children, staff and I would be delighted to show you around our small, but perfectly formed school.
